8/18/2023 0 Comments Star trek online dps logging![]() On top of it being a very niche build, there's likely less than 10 people in the game that could set it up and have the skill/experience to use it effectively. ![]() One such example is the Courage "side-nuker" I mentioned in the video. There's also some niche builds developed just for these record runs that have little to no use outside of these runs. Those builds entirely rely on the team giving them CF on every target in the match. In other words, is it true that record-breaking ISE/ISA builds aren't necessarily "good" or "strong" universal builds anymore? That IMO would represent an ever-widening split in the playerbase between playing/building to succeed in Advanced or maybe Elite TFOs writ large and chasing peak DPS via a highly-coordinated team.Īre there some builds that only work in this record setting environment?Ībsolutely, especially any builds that use torps that aren't able to supply their own CF3. AFAIK, you can't just take a record-breaking ISE/ISA team over to Fez and easily succeed (though I could be wrong on that). At the same time, I think something gets a little lost in broad applicability when such specialized builds are touted so highly just because of their numbers.ĭon't get me wrong, it's still an impressive accomplishment, but there's an increasing divergence between "record-supporting/breaking ISE build" and "build that can be offered to the general playerbase for Advanced/Elite." When people (not you, but others less informed), take the former and conflate it to the latter, it ends up being a point of frustration both for the person receiving the advice as well as those who see a potentially specialized build being applied to too wide of scenarios outside of supported ISA/ISE runs. One area that you've touched on in the past is how different these coordinated runs and builds look from the "average" playerbase's experience, even the average "informed playerbase." When I look at runs like this, I'm fully impressed by the optimization, teamwork, and skill it takes to put together such eye-popping numbers. Secret sauce is enhanced plasma manifold raising shld eng and sux by 50, 30 every 60 sec off the kdf raptor you can get for Dil who's name escapes me domino, dprm, M6 and unconventional systems plus all the usual stuff. Things like dylithium recrystalizer trait, lash of the chain in combo with preferential targeting, supremacy and calm before the the storm lining up with lash, and the icing on the cake improved feedback pulse to cap out my native critH at 60 and critD at 360 make the build very fun, random and piratey and if you line things up it melts face on solo and groups of enemys while running around with all power category's maxed between 145 and 170. The new doffs like the firemode upgrade one to buff the lash follow up rapid fire 1 and the altmid set Omni overload beam, the emergency manuvers on bat, distress or turret etc and a Borg for eng and int cooldown to counter boimler missfires under rerout life support. I run a weird boimler effect/reroute life support build with overide subsystems, dhc Viridians and turrets and full altmid set. Hey big fan! But yeah, big part of the game for me is theme builds now, like my new Emerald Jugg. Star Trek New Horizons: Subreddit for the community-developed Star Trek-themed Stellaris total conversion mod.
